Google UX Writing Course

01. challenge

Google UX teams were struggling to understand and incorporate the work of UX writers/content designers. Many teams did not include a UX writer, but needed to understand best practices and Google style rules to write their own UI copy.

02. solution

In an effort to evangelize the UX writing discipline, I led a team of 5 UX writing experts in the development of Google's first UX writing course.

03. outcome

Over 450 UX writers, support writers, designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers were trained within 1 year. I personally trained over 200 Google employees, trained trainers, and ran course logistics (on top of my day job).
